As a Program Manager, you will be managing projects within the ESS organization where we design and build operating plant NSSS modifications and support operating plants. You will be responsible for all project management processes on high complexity, high revenue projects. You will lead large teams (average >30 team members) which will include project controls and must be aggressive in change management and scope control measures.

Example project disciplines include Engineering, Fuel and Safety Analysis, Software, Innovation/Product Development, and Process Improvement. All project management is performed following the established Westinghouse policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.

You will report to the Director, Major Projects and will be based in our Cranberry Township, PA facility. This is a mobile position and is expected onsite 1-2 days per week.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.



  • Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work.



  • Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.



  • Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.



  • Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.



  • Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.



  • Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools.



  • Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.



  • Cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders (e.g. internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.



  • Identify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities which will add value.





Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of project management experience



  • Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.




    • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered





  • Familiar with the Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.



  • Broad technical knowledge of nuclear power plants and the nuclear industry.



  • Familiarity with utility business practices including knowledge of utility operations, maintenance and engineering practices, knowledge of procurement processes and material management.
