AON is looking for a Benefit Administration - Verification Specialist - (Hybrid role located in Hammonton, New Jersey)

  • As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Consumer Benefits Solutions business group. The location for this role is in our Hammonton, NJ office.

How this opportunity is different

  • We are seeking a highly capable Dependent Verification Specialist to receive, verify, process, and distribute all employee documentation related to benefit eligibility. In this role, your duties will include organizing electronic files, securely storing documents onto third party benefit administration systems, and accurately communicating the results of your finding in a clear and concise manner.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Review received documents (email, fax, and/or directly uploaded to system of record) to determine how they will be processed.
  • Administrative actions within benefit enrollments (New Hires, Qualified Life Events, Open Enrollments) that require dependent approval or changes to core benefits.
  • Navigating through 3rd party systems for documentation placement and communication
  • Review daily reports to determine if documents are required and update systems with findings
  • Uploading documents and distributing documented materials to intended recipients.
  • Securely discarding documents that have been uploaded and processed.
  • Review reports for quality assurance and communicate finding if inaccuracies are discovered
  • Assist call center employees with questions regarding documentation processing requirements
  • Performing other administrative duties, when required.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

  • 3 + years of experience in Customer Service and/or Benefits Administration
  • Must be available to work overtime during 4th quarter to meet client needs (may consist of evenings and some weekends)
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment with minimal instruction and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Experience setting priorities and managing work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
  • Experience working in a team environment including maintaining cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.
  • Good communication skills including the ability to cooperate purposefully and provide information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the company.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous benefits experience
  • Bi-lingual Spanish and English -reading and speaking
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.

Pay Transparency Laws:

  • The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $39K to $43K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
