Job Summary

The Distribution Relationship Specialist position is responsible for proactively managing and supporting Distribution for Standard Lines and/or Specialty US. Responsibilities focus on agency lifecycle management inclusive of Licensing, Contracting and/or Relationship Management with a balance of proactive and responsive activities. Support opportunities could include collaboration with Distribution Relationship Management team on agency lifecycle activities including agency prospecting, onboarding, appointments, terminations among other lifecycle transactions, agency fund management, enterprise-wide agency problem resolution, agency contract support, and new state launches.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for executing key aspects specific to:

  • Full agency lifecycle activity spanning prospecting, appointing, managing agency transactions such as mergers and acquisitions as well as terminating agencies.
  • Agency management will include lifecycle responsibilities:
    • Maintaining all agency agreements, amendments, and commission schedules in the Contract Management system, including creating, executing, and amending agency agreements. Administering agency agreement management working closely with Legal, Distribution Relationship Management team, and the Business Segments in compliance with contract law and state DOI requirements.
    • Assists with the reviews, revisions, and communication of changes to the Company's Agency Agreements at review cycle and collaborates with Business Segments and Corporate Legal department to distribute to agencies.
    • Executing agency appointing and licensing activities to include Agency/Producer license processing with various states in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, executing background checks and adjudication, manage state licensing fee payment process, and working with Departments of Insurance as applicable.
  • Additional role responsibilities could include:
    • Managing agency transaction documentation intake for appointments, lifecycle activities including mergers and acquisitions and terminations. Provides support for enterprise-wide management of all non-revenue agency-related activities.
    • Execute relationship management activities in support of and in partnership with the Distribution Relationship Management team which include agency interactions to manage key information intake and coordination with Business Segments and agencies.
    • Support of agency facing communication, onboarding, and training for agency automation tools.
    • Primary contact for high flow, no touch, and low touch agencies, including appointments, Westfield general inquiries and problem resolutions.
    • Maintains regular connection with Business Segment leaders and staff to understand annual business plans to positively impact financial results and annual initiatives.
  • Maintains effective and ongoing communication with Distribution staff, internal and external business partners, project team members and leadership. Shared ownership of overall segment plans and objectives to assist in attaining goals.

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in the insurance industry. Preferred experience includes a combination of the following areas: the independent agency channel, agency/producer relations, agency lifecycle management, agency support, and/or training of operational procedures.

Location

  • Hybrid defined as three or more days per week in the office.
