Position Overview:
The Corporate Risk Coordinator is responsible for conducting comprehensive risk reviews, managing incident reports, assisting with insurance information, and ensuring data integrity. Thisrole requires a meticulous approach to documentation, analysis, and communication with company representatives to ensure all provider files are accurately evaluated and any potential risks are identified and addressed.
Key Responsibilities: Daily Completion of Risk Reviews: 20 hours/week - 50%
- Review provider files using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Vcomm, MDStaff, Salesforce, and Microsoft Outlook
- Investigate documentation for "red flags" for each provider
- Prepare a document detailing the red flags using Microsoft Word
- Evaluate and assign an approval level to each provider file
- Record Risk Reviews in the Risk Management Information System Origami
- Communicate with company representatives regarding each provider and approval status
Incident Reports: 5 hours/week - 12.5%
- Review incident reports received through Origami
- Input incident reports completed manually
- Input any needed additional information
- Attach clinician Contact to incident
- Respond to preparer and follow up with company using documents stored in Origami
- Prepare and send monthly Bordereau Report to MedPro
Insurance: 5 hours/week - 12.5%
- Assist with insurance renewal requirements
- Assist companies with COI requests and questions
- Input Contract Reviews in Origami
- Become the Risk Management Team expert on monopolistic policies
- Monitor for new policy needs
- Oversee ongoing policy maintenance
- Ensure relevant claim information is in Origami
- Become the Risk Management Team expert on Patient Compensation Funds (PCF)
Data and Analytics 5 hours/week - 12.5%
- Create, edit, and enhance spreadsheets to include graphs and pivot tables
- Update WC Claims daily with claim numbers and additional information as needed
- Comparison of monthly data feeds to Origami for exceptions
- Weekly correspondence and follow-up on new and existing claims for risk reviews
- Assist with maintenance in RMIS and Risk Management databases
- Assist with reviewing and submitting monthly litigation funding
- Assist with monthly/quarterly company meeting agendas
- Monthly focus on current trends such as specialty, jurisdiction, etc.
Support Risk Management Department 5 hours/week - 12.5%
- Sort and distribute incoming mail to the applicable recipient
- Assist with invoicing as needed
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in risk management, insurance, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Experience with risk management software such as Origami
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
