Position Summary: The Group Lead is responsible for managing and overseeing the billing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our organization and supporting our mission to provide exceptional behavioral health services.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, Master's degree preferred. Minimum of five years of Business office supervisory experience. Computer literacy and proficiency with software applications are essential. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or similar certification preferred.

Responsobilities:

  • Oversee the entire billing process, including the preparation, submission, and follow-up of claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers.
  • Ensure all billing activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
  • Review and process claims for accuracy and completeness, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Monitor and manage the revenue cycle, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Manage patient accounts, including billing inquiries, payment plans, and account reconciliations.
  • Generate and analyze billing reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Work closely with clinical staff, administrative personnel, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide training and support to junior billing staff, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.
