Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer at BRC, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop user-friendly, highly functional software applications.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to software architecture and design discussions.
• Provide technical assistance and support to cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation and create presentations of systems under development to communicate progress with the customer.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in software engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of software scripting.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, LabVIEW).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and version control systems.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work independently or with some direction.
• Knowledge of defense industry standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, DoD regulations).
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

• 1-3 Years of experience as a software engineer in the defense or manufacturing industry.
• Internship or co-op experience in software engineering.
• Knowledge of data acquisition and analytical platforms.
• Familiarity with software-created GUI's and databases
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
