Job Title: Superintendent

Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi

General Function

The Superintendent is responsible for the oversight and direction of foremen, lead workers, and craft personnel within a designated area of the manufacturing plant. This role ensures that production schedules are achieved safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and customer specifications.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

* Select, assign, and supervise foremen in designated production areas.

* Provide guidance and mentorship to foremen on effective employee supervision practices.

* Ensure a safe working environment across all areas of production, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

* Review production drawings and schedules to plan and allocate proper manpower, equipment, and processes to meet project timelines.

* Monitor daily production to assess needs for additional materials, equipment, or labor.

* Serve as a liaison among foremen and various craft teams to promote workflow continuity and interdepartmental collaboration.

* Work closely with foremen and the Quality Control Manager to verify that all products comply with company and customer specifications.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations related to plant products, components, and relevant regulatory requirements.

* Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting production drawings and blueprints.

* Demonstrated ability to plan cost-effective procedures while maintaining strict quality standards.

* Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to direct and motivate diverse teams.

* Strong problem-solving capabilities and an adaptive management style suited to fast-paced production environments.

Experience and Training Requirements

* High School diploma or GED required.

* Post-secondary coursework in production management, industrial technology, or a related field is preferred.

* Equivalent experience in a production environment will be considered in lieu of formal education.

* Extensive experience in plant operations and supervisory roles is required.
