Assist in all manufacturing engineering functions within designated cells, which includes integrating electrical systems, troubleshooting, executing and promoting lean manufacturing strategies, processing engineering change orders, allocating inventory locations, performing contract evaluations, developing shop floor instructions, assessing standards, and completing capital and facility enhancements.

  • Collaborate with the cell team to meet targets and implement remedial measures as needed.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support within assigned cells.
  • Represent manufacturing engineering in daily meetings and weekly plant discussions.
  • Keep the manufacturing cell log updated with engineering task details.
  • Design specifications for equipment, tooling, or racking to support processes.
  • Evaluate engineering change orders (ECOs) and assist in production implementation.
  • Promote lean manufacturing initiatives like 5S and value stream mapping.
  • Participate in SWAT team meetings to address cross-functional issues.
  • Facilitate upgrades and modifications of capital equipment.
  • Support process planning and production engineering.
  • Review engineering change notifications (ECNs) in meetings.
Requirements

* Post-secondary education in a related discipline and or 5+ yrs equivalent manufacturing experience required

* Four-year Manufacturing/Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology degree preferred

* Experience with mobile electrical/ electronics is highly desired

* Lean certification or applicable equivalent experience beneficial

* Experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment

* Superior computer and organizational skills

* Goal orientated and motivation to achieve tasks within set timelines

* Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Suite, PLC or Ladder Logic and Electrical troubleshooting.
