Hourly Pay Range:

$37.85 - $58.67 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Some local travel to other corporate locations may be necessary (Arlington Heights - Warrenville)

Job Summary:

As the Data Governance Analyst III at Endeavor Health, you will be responsible for leading and managing data governance initiatives to ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of our organization's data assets. You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing data governance policies, standards, and procedures, and providing strategic guidance to drive continuous improvement in data governance practices. This position will serve as key subject matter expert on Endeavor's data and reporting systems which are out of Epic, Data warehouse, Vizient, Tableau and other reporting tools for customers at all levels of the organization.

To be successful in this role, you will be expected to remain updated on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

What you will do:

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data governance initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and objectives, and driving continuous improvement in data governance practices.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and organizational needs.
  • Gather business requirements by conducting meetings and facilitating large group/cross-functional sessions with customers, while containing the scope of the initiative.
  • Produce datasets and reports that will facilitate evidence-based clinical and financial decisions.
  • Design and develop reports/dashboards and data extracts using skills developed using the following tools: SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Epic Reporting Workbench, Cognos and Epic Palette.
  • Work with statisticians and mathematicians to design predictive models using statistical and machine learning methods that will predict patient outcomes.
  • Work with clinical experts to analyze data that will help drive decisions on patient centered interventions and quality & performance goals.
  • Ensure all developed solutions are tuned to meet acceptable system performance thresholds.
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent assignments, produce usable documentation and share code & knowledge within Data Analytics team and, as applicable, with colleagues in IT.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to data reliability and incorporate them into existing processes to drive continuous improvement. Engage with industry related organizations, such as HIMSS, Epic UGM / XGM, Vizient, Data Visualization tools as appropriate.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications: Epic Cogito and Clarity - IHI - Advanced Data Governance certifications - CGEIT (preferred certifications)
  • Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience.
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI and/or similar data visualization tools and processes.
  • Statistical or mathematical skills or experience working with statistics packages (SPSS, SAS, R etc.).
  • Epic or another commercial electronic health record (EHR) experience and certifications.
  • Master's level degree or above in a related field.
  • Experience in leading projects that span cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry or healthcare information systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with business intelligence, data warehousing, programming, or statistics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency writing complex SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, Python, or other database experience.
  • Experience and understanding of data sources including 3rd party RDBMS, MS access, SQL server and Oracle.
  • Strong analytic, problem solving, negotiation, issue resolution and facilitation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication and decision-making skills.
