The School of Theatre and Dance, in the College of Fine Arts and Communication, has an enrollment of over 250 students across
BFA programs in acting, dance, educational theatre, and entertainment design and production, and a BA in theatre arts. Over 30 faculty and staff support the artistic and creative work of the students and school. East Carolina University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre. |
Job Duties |
Job Duties for this Temporary Fixed-Term Position for the Fall 2025 Semester will include teaching classes for the Theatre for Young Audiences and Educational Theatre Programs, mentoring student interns and supervising them on-site in NC public schools.
East Carolina University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre.
This position is contingent upon available funding. |
Minimum Education/Experience |
Minimum Qualification (candidates must have):
- Terminal degree (MFA or equivalent) or equivalent experience in Theatre Education.
- Currently hold, or be eligible to hold, a NC Licensure in Theatre Arts Education upon the date of employment.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education |
Preferred experience with edTPA preparation, public school teaching and student intern supervision. |
