Job Title: VP & SBA Operations Officer III

Department: SBA Loan Center

We are looking for a VP & SBA Operations Officer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will work independently with third party vendors such as title companies, escrow companies, and attorneys, while working on multiple projects simultaneously; managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes. The VP & SBA Operations Officer III will be responsible for providing on-going support to the SBA Loan Center in processing and servicing SBA loans by preparing and reviewing SBA loan application and packaging forms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review loan files for conditions of approval and follow through to obtain proper and complete documentation.
  • Review preliminary title reports for acceptable exceptions and request payoff- demands.
  • Review all collateral documents along with any underwriting conditions submitted in the loan package to verify completeness and accuracy in accordance with all policies and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and process PLP loan application for SBA approval.
  • Manage and maintain the loan portfolio via the Bank's tickler tracking system to ensure proper recorded documentation, insurance, UCC filings, and covenant and compliance of financials and tax returns.
  • Prepare 1086 (Colson Forms) and send to the Secondary Market Investor, coordinate with Secondary Market and Note Department for wire and booking of sales.
  • Provide regulatory agencies with all requested information and/or statistics on loans files under your responsibility.
  • Keep informed of policies, practices, regulations, and laws as applicable to your function.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience in lending required.
  • Ability to retain a broad knowledge of tasks performed in the lending functions.
  • Ability to analyze and organize financial information and perform complex financial calculations.
  • Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
  • Ability to retain broad knowledge of lending tasks, lending regulation, lien laws, and loan documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
  • Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
  • Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs.
  • Good analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Strong analytical skills with a thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
