Overview:

Sentara Health is hiring for a Non-Invasive Cardiology Accreditation and Regulatory Consultant- Hybrid in Virginia Beach, VA!

Status: Full-Time,permanent position (40 hours)

Standard working hours: 8am to 5pm EST, M-F. Need to be available for 7am or 5pm meetings approx. 1 a week

Location: Hybrid in Virginia Beach or surrounding area; Will report to 1300 Sentara Park, Virginia Beach, VA 23464 3-4x a week and 1-2x work from home/remote.

Job Expectations:

* Maintain and organize all echo accreditation components

* Organize NIV Education

* Foster system wide collaboration and standardization

* Continuous quality improvement - strategy and collaboration

* CVSL Partner for strategy, revenue, and growth

Key Responsibilities:

1. Education Coordination:

o Develop and organize system-wide cardiac non-invasive education programs. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify educational needs.

2. Accreditation Support:

o Lead and facilitate system-wide echocardiography accreditation processes, ensuring compliance with the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards. Including mandatory quarterly quality improvement processes. Serve as the primary resource for accreditation readiness, documentation, and survey preparation.

3. Quality Improvement Initiatives:

o Build and maintain quality improvement programs for cardiac imaging modalities, including echocardiography, stress testing, cardiac PET, advanced imaging such as cardiac CT and MRI, and other related areas.

o Collaborate with teams across the system to establish and monitor quality benchmarks. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to address gaps in service delivery and patient care.

4. System-Wide Standardization:

o Collaborate and implement standardized protocols and procedures across all cardiac testing areas. Ensure consistent practices and quality outcomes throughout the health system. Promote collaboration and alignment among multidisciplinary teams.

5. Leadership and Collaboration:

o Actively participate in the CVSL leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.

o Act as a resource for staff and leadership, providing expertise in non-invasive cardiac services.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field REQUIRED

Certification/Licensure:

  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and Registered Technologist (R.T.) by American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years recent accreditation & regulatory experience REQUIRED

  • Internal candidates with 5 years recent experience in Accreditation & Regulatory Affairs may be substituted for education REQUIRED and must be enrolled in/pursing bachelors degree.

  • Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards and clinical process improvement concepts is REQUIRED

  • Cardiology imaging experience (Nuclear Medicine, Echocardiography, MRI, CT/CAT Scan) preferred
