Job Description Summary

Sunbelt's Financial Systems Analyst is empowered to support an existing finance-based Planning Analytics (PA) solution, as well as lead additional development efforts so we can make it happen for our customers.

The Financial Systems Analyst will also:

  • Support and troubleshoot Planning Analytics user issues and data queries within the PA system solutions

  • Train PA system users

  • Assist in technical administration of the systems and infrastructure

  • Work with IT in delivering reliable, scalable, and efficient Cognos PA solutions by gathering user requirements, financial scenario modeling and expected system results, testing, documentation and adoption of the tools

  • Partner with peer Finance teams utilizing PA to ensure consistent design & integration.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that accelerate cycle times, alleviate manual processes and ensure financial results are accurate

  • Support dimension management, metadata design/maintenance, ETL development, and data validation processes

  • Perform unit and integration testing and participate in reporting validation and QA efforts as they pertain to reporting and data analytics

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical discipline or equivalent work experience plus 3+ years of Cognos PA work experience in supporting the development of end-to-end analytics solutions

  • Strong development knowledge of Rules and Turbo Integrator

    • With reference to Rules, must have a complete understanding of relationship between rules and feeders, external cube references, C: and N: level rule differences

    • With reference to Turbo Integrator, must have the ability to write Turbo Integrator script from scratch, including building dimension structures, updating attributes, updating cube values, modifying data source subsets and cube views in code, and writing cube to cube processes to perform batch calculations

  • Strong understanding of architecture and design practices.

  • Have a good working knowledge of Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis business processes

  • Ability to communicate with a business user to gather and/or clarify business requirements around financial performance management

  • Ability to produce professional quality design and system documentation and train business users

  • Strong skill set in the efficient design of templates and reporting in Excel through Perspectives and TM1 Web

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and professional demeanor, and strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Relevant corporate finance experience exhibiting knowledge of financial planning functions and related processes.

  • Knowledge of SQL, OLAP, and data warehousing concepts.

  • Experience and knowledge of the Rental Equipment Industry an advantage

  • Planning Analytics for Excel and PAW experience

  • Finance and Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. Base Pay Range: $55,000.00 - 75,900.00
