About the Opportunity:

The Customer Account Executive will report directly to the Pursuit Head of OEM Sales. This position, while having no direct reports, will be responsible for the overall health and development of customer relationships, including mentoring site account managers and other customer-focused team members on customer engagement.

We seek an account executive to further develop one of our largest OEM accounts. The successful individual will develop strong internal and external relationships with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and key executives to address business challenges and create a dialogue culminating in new manufacturing arrangements that benefit Pursuit's operating divisions.

This role can be done remotely with travel (up to 25%). The preference is a candidate in the New England area.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and managing a customer roadmap that defines multi-year targets and KPIs by product area, site, and program
  • Creating customer specific growth strategies that tie to Pursuit's current and desired manufacturing capabilities
  • Building and managing a new business pipeline to achieve account growth targets
  • Managing, improving, and extending existing contracts to achieve sales and margin targets
  • Establishing relationships with customer engineering, supply chain, and executive personnel at all locations and spending significant facetime with critical decision makers
  • Drafting new business proposals and negotiating subsequent awards
  • Assisting site Account Managers and General Managers with customer requirement understanding and Pursuit obligations
  • Escalating customer relationship issues to Pursuit executives in a timely and responsible manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Engineering or Business preferred)
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret technical data and understand opportunity fit with each manufacturing site's capabilities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments: machining, sheet metal, fabrications, castings, forgings
  • Knowledge of how OEM supply chain and engineering functions work, including specifications, contracts, and changes
  • Ability to create clear and impactful presentations for reporting, problem resolution, and positioning
  • Ability to understand and talk fundamental economics behind deal financials, specifically: COGS, investment parameters and pricing elements
  • Ability to understand and talk the fundamental industrialization elements behind deal framework, specifically: manpower, machine selection, manufacturing methods, materials and measurement particulars
  • Ability to program manage key initiatives to successful outcomes

Special Requirements

  • Travel up to 25%
