Job Description The Director of Planning will lead the development and execution of integrated planning strategies across demand, supply, production, and capacity planning functions at Cornerstone Building Brands. This role is accountable for creating best-in-class planning processes and systems to improve forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, manufacturing efficiency, customer satisfaction, and working capital performance. The incumbent will play a critical role in aligning operational planning with business goals and driving continuous improvement across all planning disciplines within the company's multi-site manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the end-to-end implementation of Kinaxis Maestro across the Supply Chain function, including system configuration, testing, deployment, and user adoption to ensure the solution meets operational planning requirements and business goals. * Oversee the development, standardization, and integration of scheduling processes across the US Apertures BU in alignment with Kinaxis capabilities, ensuring process scalability, cross-functional alignment, and long-term sustainability. * Lead the strategic design and implementation of planning processes across demand, supply, and production functions to drive operational efficiency and service excellence. * Drive end-to-end planning integration-partnering with Sales, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Business Unit leaders to ensure effective translation of demand into executable supply and production plans. * Oversee capacity planning and rough-cut scheduling to ensure labor, equipment, and material availability align with business requirements and service targets. * Develop and maintain the enterprise-wide planning calendar, integrating demand, supply, and inventory strategies into a unified operating rhythm. * Optimize inventory levels across the supply chain while balancing service levels and working capital goals. * Implement and refine planning systems, tools, and data governance protocols to enable reliable forecasting, visibility, and decision-making. * Establish key planning performance indicators (KPIs) and governance routines to monitor effectiveness, identify gaps, and drive accountability. * Lead planning teams and provide coaching, structure, and direction to plant-level planners, buyers, and schedulers. * Act as a business partner in long-range planning, new product introduction readiness, and scenario modeling to support strategic growth and risk mitigation. * Serve as a critical voice in the selection and implementation of ERP/MRP tools that support demand, supply, and production planning needs. * Champion a culture of continuous improvement and planning excellence through documentation, training, and cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree or certifications (APICS, CPIM, CSCP) preferred. * 8+ years of progressive experience in planning, supply chain, or operations leadership within a manufacturing environment. * Proven experience leading cross-functional planning teams and driving integrated planning processes (demand, supply, capacity). * Deep knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, demand planning tools, and analytics platforms. * Demonstrated success in improving forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, and planning maturity. * Data-driven and analytical thinker with a strong command of Excel and planning systems. * Experience supporting or leading S&OP or IBP processes is a plus, but the focus is on broader planning ownership.
