We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Sales Tax Analyst to join our growing tax team. In this entry-level role, you will assist in the preparation, filing, and reconciliation of sales and use tax returns for multiple jurisdictions across the United States. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a career in tax accounting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns for various U.S. jurisdictions.
- Reconcile tax reports with general ledger accounts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in researching sales tax laws and staying current with changes in tax rates, rules, and regulations.
- Support the collection and maintenance of exemption certificates and other tax documentation.
- Respond to tax notices and support audits from state and local tax authorities.
- Work cross-functionally with accounting, finance, legal, and IT departments to ensure tax compliance.
- Help with tax data analysis and system improvements related to tax automation software
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the tax team

xperience:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, tax, or finance (internship experience acceptable)
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software (e.g., Vertex) is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to be in a Paladin office minimum of 2 days
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (required) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with sales and use tax concepts and multistate compliance
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Vertex)
- Experience with Excel
- Strongly Preferred Candidates are Located in Denver orMinneapolis
