Job Summary

The Engineer II, Software Automation will execute existing automation test and also participate in development of new automation testing systems and procedures utilizing their experience in software test automation development.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Develop new automation testing systems and procedures.
  • Deliver automated solutions for software processes; work closely with other teams to help discover and eliminate problems by gathering requirements and implementing automation tools and processes.
  • Code, implement and enhance existing frameworks while working closely with the software teams to ensure timely delivery and automation.
  • Judge test outcomes to determine pass/fail status, clearly document findings in Test Reports and document bugs discovered during testing.
  • Analyze large amounts of data acquired during automation test using tools such as Mathcad and Matlab.
  • Debug and verify network traffic using wireshark/tcpdump or other related tools.
  • Execute manual test cases needing no automation.


Minimum Qualifications



  • 2+ years of experience in software development utilizing Java, Python, Selenium or Espresso.
  • Experience with test automation techniques.
  • Experience creating automated test cases from manual testing.
  • Strong experience with data structures and object-oriented programming.
  • Familiar with testing strategies including robustness and stress testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • BS degree in Engineering, SW, CS or EE.


Preferred Qualifications



  • MS degree in Engineering, SW, CS or EE preferred.


Compensation: The anticipated range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience. This position also qualifies for up to 10% annual bonus based on Company, department, and individual performance.

Physical requirements/Work Environment

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities.
