Datavant is seeking a Salesforce Architect to manage both platforms and facilitate seamless data synchronization and workflow automation between these two systems, leading to improved sales and marketing alignment, a shared view of the customer journey, data accuracy, and overall operational efficiency. This position will ensure both platforms meet the needs of the organization by managing users, data, security, reporting, and processes, while also training users and collaborating with stakeholders.

Datavant's Provider Commercial organization utilizes a "pod" type working environment. This means that customer "realms" (individual Salesforce instances for a customer) are grouped together within a geographically-defined area or "pod". Our accounts are located within a specific geographical region. Our team structure contains a pod environment with three (3) regions. Datavant's Salesforce System Administrator will work to connect, align, and support our pods with named accounts.

As a Salesforce System Architect, you will be responsible for user management, data maintenance, security configuration, and training users on using Salesforce effectively. Salesforce Admin to work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions that optimize the platform's usage. Customizing objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, and other settings will be necessary to meet the business needs. Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Platform Management



  • Configure, implement, and optimize Salesforce CRM systems.
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Ensure data integrity through data import management, auditing, cleanup, and deduplication.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and secure unique account identifiers and account hierarchy.


MFA and Security Checks



  • Auditing our multi-factor authentication (MFA) and security policies every quarter to:
  • Ensure all users comply with MFA requirements.
  • Confirm new hires are properly configured with MFA settings.
  • Check for unauthorized security exceptions.


Workflow and Automation



  • Design, implement, and optimize automated workflows and processes.
  • Manage and maintain tech stack integrations between Salesforce and third-party vendors, i.e. HubSpot, Definitive Healthcare, document management systems, and other systems.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting across platforms.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities to support additional business processes or functions including automating whenever possible to reduce manual / labor-intensive tasks.


Data Management and Reporting



  • Partner with the RevOps team and internal business stakeholders to create Salesforce reports and dashboards.
  • Build forecasting functionality, optimize existing reports and dashboards, and create new reporting tools and operating analytics, as needed to share insights with the Leadership for repeatable, scalable, and predictable sales processes.
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other analytics tools.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and insights.
  • Support data-driven decision-making.


User Support, Training & Adoption



  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to help users effectively utilize Salesforce.
  • Monitor user adoption and engagement.
  • Encourage Salesforce users to actively engage and use the Salesforce mobile app.


Collaboration and Communication



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, legal, account management, finance, operations, and customer success) to define process requirements and change requests.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.


What You Will Bring to the Table:

Technical Skills



  • Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM platforms with the ability to lead third-party integrations to other techstack partners, i.e. Definitive Healthcare and Marketing on-demand platforms (HubSpot or similar).
  • Experience with data management, reporting, and analytics.
  • Experience with workflow automation and integration tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

Bonus points if you have:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or other related field.
  • Directly managed a team of Salesforce Administrators.
  • Five years related experience including utilization of Salesforce platform.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word; Office 365.
  • Experience in implementation, training and documentation preferred.
  • HubSpot certifications (e.g., HubSpot Administrator Certification) are a plus.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$120,000 $140,000 USD
