The Senior IT Business Analyst (Sr. BA) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. This position will work closely with business stakeholders to evaluate existing business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and gather and document detailed requirements. The Sr. BA will collaborate with IT development teams to translate these requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications, supporting the delivery of effective software solutions. Additionally, the Sr. BA will assist with quality assurance testing to ensure deliverables meet business expectations. Success in this role requires excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
*Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications/ user stories.
*Facilitate communication across multiple stakeholders to propose and implement new or enhanced software solutions aligned with business priorities.
*Work closely with legal and information security teams to facilitate the evaluation of software and contracts for compliance and risk management.
*Partner with project teams to ensure IT solutions are aligned with business goals and expectations.
*Apply proven business analysis tools and methodologies to design solutions that address complex business challenges.
*Document business processes and requirements in collaboration with business process owners.
*Remain adaptable to emerging technologies, new applications, and shifting business needs.
*Develop and deliver training materials to support teams for effective adoption of new systems and processes.
*Define quality assurance test cases and support testing efforts; identify and verify resolution of issues with a data-driven approach.
*Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support training for end users on new functionalities.
*Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and best practices that can add value to the organization.
*Coordinate technical support tasks and ongoing management of technology platforms.
*Manage application upgrades, enhancements, and support initiatives.
*Partner with business and IT leadership on continuous process improvement initiatives related to technology platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience in the benefits or insurance agency/ brokerage industry, particularly with agency management systems; Applied Epic experience is a plus.
*Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar project management tools.
*Experience with application integration and system upgrades.
*Background in supporting both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
*Experience coordinating with third-party vendors or external partners.

Minimum Qualifications:
* College Degree or equivalent required
* 3 years related experience
* Ability to lead and coordinate the team activities of others
* Proficient use of applicable technology
* Ability to execute and draft technical instructions and guidelines
* Ability to document daily activities and system functions
* Able to work in a team environment
* Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
* Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability
