Job Description for position in Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases, and Global Medicine (HIV Clinician, Ward 86)

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Medicine, Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) is seeking a physician trained in internal medicine to serve in a clinical position within our group. We seek qualified applicants to serve as an HIV Clinician at the Ward 86 HIV Clinic at ZSFG. Candidate may be appointed at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank in the HS Clinical faculty series.

Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are salaried appointees in the health sciences who teach, participate in patient care, and participate in academic, scholarly, clinical, and operational activities, and will have university, public service, and creative interactions.

Faculty will serve in two central roles: (1) HIV Primary Care Clinician at ZSFG's Ward 86 HIV Clinic, a large, urban HIV primary care clinic serving over 2,700 patients. Role will include serving as an HIV primary care clinician, and educating students, residents and fellows. (2) Medical education to medical students and residents at our clinical sites.

Required qualifications:

* MD or DO, active medical licensure, and board certification or board eligible in Internal Medicine

* Interest in serving the needs of those living with HIV and those at risk of HIV acquisition

Preferred/Desirable qualifications:

* Spanish language proficiency

* Proficiency with Epic clinical platform, and standard software packages including Office

* Data analytic skills, including experience with database management, data analysis

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
