Hourly Pay Range:

$30.46 - $45.69 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What you will do:

This position functions in a lead capacity, with direct responsibility for the workload and workflow of the team under the direction of the Department Manager. Provides lead oversight for a multidisciplinary team of expressive therapists, recreational therapists, occupational therapists, and students to ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role includes mentorship, and clinical oversight of staff, as well as managing scheduling and coverage to support clinical operations. Assessing the clinical needs of patients, providing performance feedback, and supporting staff development, while fostering collaboration within the interdisciplinary care team. Additionally, the Clinical Lead will be responsible for supporting and communicating departmental and organizational initiatives, ensuring alignment with system goals, regulatory standards, and best practices. Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential to promote a cohesive, effective, and compassionate therapeutic environment.

What you will need:

  • Education: Master's Degree in Social work, counseling or a Master's Degree in a recognized mental health field
  • Certification: Current State of Illinois licensure with a minimum of four letters e.g. LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) or Clinical Psychologist (Psy D/Ph D).
  • Current licensure in one of the following Rehab fields of study (Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Board Certified/Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT), Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC), Licensed Professional Music Therapist (LPMT), Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), or Licensed, Registered Occupational Therapist OTR/L).
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in a behavioral health environment
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned population
  • Ability to maintain information as highly confidential
  • Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation
  • Ability to demonstrate self-control in volatile or hostile situations
  • Ability to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintains therapeutic boundaries with patients during treatment and following discharge
  • Ability to work with interdisciplinary personnel, patients and families
