Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clerk.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for handling incoming calls, directing them appropriately, and preparing messages for management and staff. Manages supply inventory, including ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing supplies based on departmental needs. Supports distribution processes across various hospital departments, including Radiology, Anatomic Pathology, and patient processing areas. Duties include filing, sorting, and retrieving records, as well as assisting with requisitions and purchase orders. Accuracy, organization, and punctuality are essential for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

Supply Chain

  • Responsible for answering and directing calls to appropriate individuals, and prepare messages for management or staff.
  • Orders, receives and stores supplies in warehouse or supply rooms.
  • Inputs and tracks requisitions and purchase orders for proper coding and authorized approvals; inspects and verifies supplies received against invoice and packing slip.
  • Responsible for attending customer and clinical needs in all areas, which include receiving and distribution.
  • Also responsible for assisting with distribution of supplies throughout the hospital based on the needs of the department.
  • Responsible for PeopleSoft charge/credit data entry.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or the equivalent.
Effective oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of personal computer.

Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of warehouse and/or store experience preferred.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $49,717.54 - $49,717.54 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
