Job Description

Role Overview

The primary purpose of the position is to oversee the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of all equipment, buildings, and grounds at the Blythewood facility. This includes the installation of any necessary equipment, as well as responsibility for the facility's computer systems, telecommunications equipment, and network infrastructure.

Your Role in Unpacking Possibilities

Applicant must be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of the following:

  • Air Compressors - reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal
  • Refrigeration - Chillers, pumps, tank and tankless distribution systems
  • HVAC System's and troubleshooting.
  • Electrical Maintenance - Troubleshooting VFD's, controls, and 480v electrical distribution systems.
  • Programmable Logic Controller basic knowledge preferred, Electronics - Able to use SCADA for data collection and monitoring. Experience in use of following systems desired - SAP, IZ Systems.
  • Building Maintenance - plumbing (copper, steel, PVC), building repair, housekeeping
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair production and/or facility equipment.
  • Willingness to be "on-call" during off hours and weekends.
  • Desire to learn and develop within the maintenance field.
  • Works with third party vendor on outside services-ARAMARK
  • Grounds maintenance- maintain grounds according to AMCOR and building owner standard.
  • Responsible for oil storage, inventory, oil filtering, and disposal including filters.
  • Certified Trainer on forklifts
  • Certified trainer on Aerial lifts
  • Maintains Fire protection system.
  • Maintains Building security System.
  • Responsible for forklift and aerial repairs and inspections
  • Responsible for maintaining the overhead cranes in the facility.
  • Provides Contractor Safety Orientation
  • Responsible for all permitting the facility -Aerial, Roof, Hot Work, Energized, Confined Space.
  • Oversee and monitors Water Treatment
  • Schedules and plans all Systems PM's

What We Want From You

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight to ten years of industrial facility maintenance / IT experience in a responsible managerial position.
  • Ability to communicate using e-mail systems, build and maintain Excel spreadsheets, develop training documents in PowerPoint, and write reports using Word. Ability to use SAP or other maintenance tracking software.
  • Prior formal training and 3 - 5 years in facility maintenance trades
  • Previous project management experience acting as liaison with vendors and contractors.
  • HVAC/refrigeration certification preferred.
