Senior Analyst, Engineering Transformation & DevOps will collaborate with all SDLC stakeholders-including Scrum Masters, Development teams, Testing groups, Production support, and Product owners-to optimize software delivery. What Is The Opportunity? What Will You Do? DevOps
- Advocate and promote new DevOps tools and processes in WMT engineering group through coaching, consultation, onboarding, training, support, and awareness sessions.
- Leading WMT to 100% state-of-the-art inhouse deployment pipeline Adoption and responsible for aligning to RBC DevOps COE practices.
- Build strong relationships with WMT's application development/QE teams to understand requirements and ensure smooth delivery pipelines.
- Monitor build, test, and deployment processes to ensure smooth releases.
- Strategically improve DevOps platform user experience of WMTS engineering group by improving issue resolution SLA from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 days.
- Create WMT DevOps group as Single point of communication with Enterprise DevOps and different Infrastructure teams.
- Improve DevOps efficiency within WMT engineering group by focusing on infrastructure stability, automation, reusability and streamlined communication.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting system to track the performance and health of application and infrastructure.
- Document infrastructure architecture, automation scripts, and processes for future reference.
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps
Engineering Transformation
- Collaborate with all stakeholders involved in the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Scrum Masters, Development teams, Testing groups, Production support, and Product owners, to identify opportunities for improvement and streamline software delivery processes.
- Develop and execute a roadmap for achieving a 25% increase in operational efficiency, resulting in a 25% boost in team output while maintaining existing costs.
- Accelerate turnaround time for software delivery by 50% to meet evolving business needs and market demands, while ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction
- Reduce number of defects by 30% by improving unit test code coverage and unit test effectiveness
- Drive the development and implementation of best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance software development processes.
- Partner with Dev and QE leads of each squad to enable yearly roadmap for technology transformation.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts, monitor ongoing results, define process areas for review, and conduct benchmarking activities to ensure best in class results.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and success, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status of engineering transformation initiatives.
- Responsible for coaching, mentoring, training of two other engineering transformation analysts
What Do You Need To Succeed? Must have:
- Strong software engineering knowledge foundation, including advanced knowledge and experience in DevOps, and SRE
- Extensive knowledge of CI/CD process using Jenksins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins Files, SonarQube, Maven, Vault, Ansible (AAP) and UrbanCodeDeploy
- Hands on experience in script development using scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python and PowerShell)
- Hands on experience using Ansible Tower for Window/Unix environment configuration.
- Experience using source configuration tools and branching strategy (Github)
- Be an excellent communicator, negotiator and translator who can connect technology and business audiences, tailoring messaging, and approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and work independently to creatively solve problems.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience implementing Agile practices across teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their full potential
