APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Graphic Design seeks applicants for a non-tenure line teaching position at the rank ofLecturer. This position is a full-time, 36-week appointment starting in Fall 2025. We seek a dynamic designer and educator who brings a strong foundation in communication design and expertise in User Interface Design, User Experience Design, User Experience Research, Interaction Design, and Systems Design. Candidates should show commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment, engagement with fellow faculty members in ways that contribute to a scholarly community on campus, active leadership in campus life, and engagement in the community through outreach activities that address regional needs are required. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the use of instructional technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important. The position will include teaching undergraduate courses in the Department of Graphic Design. The position requires participation in usual departmental activities and service on school, college and University committees as assigned. Qualifications: Candidates must have a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, User Experience Design, or a comparable degree at the time of appointment. A record of University-level experience teaching and evidence of successful design practice is strongly preferred.
