The National Account Manager will be responsible for growing top line sales, profit and market share for the Consumer Brands Group's Lowe's Business Unit. This position will also be responsible for the long-term strategic planning, development, and implementation of business plans for the Primers and Exterior Paint segment for our retail customer Lowe's. This role will entail expanding and developing new business opportunities for Consumer Brands and Lowe's.

This role is located at the Davidson, NC business office.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains ownership of the primers categories for Lowe's and maintains and builds a positive relationship with the buyer and customer leadership for the applicator category.
  • Develops & capitalizes on relationships with Lowe's Merchant teams and leads key strategic negotiations.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of pricing/promotional programs to help drive sales for Consumer Brands and Lowe's.
  • Develops and implements strategies to grow and convert sales through competitive displacement.
  • Analyzes market research to develop product insights/programs; innovates new business opportunities.
  • Collaborates and builds impactful relationships with internal cross functional and divisional teams (Marketing, Operations, R&D, Quality, Sales Excellence, etc.) to identify, develop, and implement business strategies.
  • Responsible for completing proforma analysis, P&L analysis, budget management, operating plan support, presenting product line review presentations and customer relationship management, CRM, utilization.
  • Displays strategic decision-making by recommending, implementing, and executing promotional programs, and product lines while optimizing merchandising materials.
  • In partnership with the training team, assists with the development of training content for specified segment
  • Actively engaged with the Lowe's Field team to ensure they are in informed on all key projects and trends
  • Responsible for the overall financial responsibility for brands and categories assigned to direct report(s) and ensuring the strategy set by the business unit's Sales Director and Vice President of Sales is fulfilled.
  • Respond to, or involves the appropriate parties, to resolve any customer and/or employee complaints
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures including safety and loss prevention.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Willingness to travel as required for this position
  • Must have 4+ years of Business to Consumer and/or Business to Business sales experience in a retail or consumer goods industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have previous experience working on product line review preparation and presentations
  • Have previous sales experience in home improvement, big box and/or mass merchant channel
  • Prior work experience managing profit and loss ("P&L")
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint related products

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must know how to use, edit, save, and share documents within Word
  • Must have experience using, editing, filtering, saving, sharing and inputting formulas into Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to use, edit, save, and develop presentations in PowerPoint
  • Have experience using formulas, pivot tables and graphs in Microsoft Excel

  • Have experience using formulas, pivot tables and graphs in Microsoft Excel
