OVERVIEW
As the Senior Director of Information Technology Services (ITS), you will be responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and implementation of ITS initiatives that align with the company's business objectives. You will oversee the ITS department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. This role requires a visionary leader with a deep understanding of technology trends, strong management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders. Annual pay range for this position is $190,000 - $245,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the ITS strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Establish and communicate a clear vision for the ITS department, setting strategic priorities and ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
- Develop business strategies and business plans for growing the department including the strategic plan to support company goals.
- Provide the leadership and mentorship necessary to recruit, develop, and retain a motivated, high-performing team for the department.
- Identify and analyze emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the company. Drive the adoption of new technologies that can enhance business processes, improve customer experience, and create competitive advantages.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and other stakeholders to identify business needs and provide ITS solutions that support organizational goals.
- Oversee and implement policies and procedures that promote operational excellence, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Define metrics and evaluate the performance of ITS initiatives, ensuring they meet the desired outcomes and contribute to the company's success.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ITS professionals that manage services in IT, IS, cybersecurity, and operational design technology.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback to ensure team members are motivated and aligned with the company's strategic direction.
- Identify and address skill gaps within the team and provide opportunities for training and development to enhance the team's capabilities.
Project Oversight:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of ITS projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project implementation and alignment with business goals.
Technology Innovation:
- Ensure that technology innovation initiatives align with the company's overall strategy and deliver measurable business value.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies that can enhance business processes, improve customer experience, and create competitive advantages.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the ITS team, encouraging creative problem-solving and the exploration of new ideas.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements and efficiencies.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and data analytics, to support the company's strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners to stay informed about the latest advancements and leverage their expertise.
- Lead pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives to test and validate new technologies before full-scale implementation.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the company's ITS infrastructure and systems.
- Implement best practices for ITS operations, including disaster recovery, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Oversee the management of ITS assets, including hardware, software, and network resources, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions to enhance security.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure ITS operations support business processes and objectives.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on the status of ITS operations, including performance metrics, security incidents, and improvement initiatives.
Budget Management:
- Manage the operations of the department to meet financial objectives established in approved business plans. Manage budgets, financial activities, and cash flow for the department.
- Develop and manage the ITS budget and the corporate software budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization without compromising the quality of ITS services.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to secure the best value for the company.
- Ensure compliance with IT General Controls audit (ITGC).
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of the ITS budget, including forecasts and recommendations for adjustments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred. A master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- 20+ years of proven experience in a senior ITS leadership role, with a progressive track record of successfully leading ITS teams and managing complex projects.
- 10+ years of r\experience working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of ITS infrastructure, systems, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for ITS operations, cybersecurity, and data management.
