Overview
SCOPE: Under minimum supervision, responsible for the collection of receivable accounts, analysis, and trending as well as researching and resolving any issues or discrepancies. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible for accurate and timely collections of all receivables to ensure the lowest accounts receivable possible and optimal reimbursement. Resolves AR issues by contacting practice*s to research and respond to routine and complex inquiries in a timely and professional manner. -Performs revenue and A/R reconciliation. - Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilities and communicates regulatory and industry standards to employees. - Prepares and distributes monthly credit statements. -Establishes credit limits after review of practice financial statements and metric ratios. -Reviews, analyzes, and trends monthly A/R reports in order to identify issues, improve efficiencies, and revenue capture. -Drafts accounts receivable policies, procedures, collection strategies, A/R training programs, and implementation and communication plans. -May act as team lead and train staff on A/R policies, procedures, and software. -Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. -Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline a plus. At least four (4) years of A/R experience required. Proficiency with computer systems and MicroSoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
