Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN), internally referred to as LPN or LVN, in our Adult Psych Acute unit. As an LPN/LVN in our Psych Unit, you will provide basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician, focusing on tasks like monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with patient care.

Shift's Available: Days

Employment Type: per diem/PRN

Hours: 12 hour shifts, 7:00pm - 7:00am

Location: Riverview Regional Medical Center, Gadsden, AL

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services which requires technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care
  • Meets the communication needs of the patient and family
  • Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Nurses provide CPR, Patient Care, Update Documentation, Specimens, Wound Care and Vital Signs

Education and Work Experience

  • current and valid Alabama state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
