Performs duties that call for specialized training and experience in the legal field, such as knowledge of specialized terminology and procedures. Responsible for a variety of secretarial, administrative, and clerical duties for one or more attorneys. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling
Effective oral and written communication skills, reading comprehension, and active listening
Previous experience in legal related field.
Knowledge of legal forms and formats sufficient to prepare orders and decisions and to compose general correspondence
Knowledge of general office policies and procedures for legal case management system
Knowledge of legal terminology sufficient to prepare and/or understand judicial orders, decisions and correspondences
Proficiency in accessing legal authorities either in hard copy form or in electronic format using commonly available legal resources
Fully perform the job of Legal Secretary, including the ability to work with limited instructions from attorneys, on legal projects and routine documents, and have the ability to prioritize assignments.
Valid Class C Texas Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications

Typical for an office environment including significant time spent analyzing process, data, and documents, and reviewing work product of colleagues.
Occasional travel to and from other CPS Energy facilities and occasional business travel to training or other business-related events. Long and irregular hours are occasionally required based on business needs. Physical Demands
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, walking and standing are required only occasionally, and if all other sedentary criteria are met.
