Summary

The MRO Inventory Supervisor plays a pivotal role in supervising the efficient and accurate management of the parts room, ensuring optimal inventory control, and leading a team of Senior Parts Room Clerks and Parts Room Clerks across various shifts. This position is responsible for maintaining a well-organized and smoothly operating parts room, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement in inventory management processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of a Senior Parts Room Clerk and Parts Room Clerks across multiple shifts
  • Oversee day-to-day parts room operations, ensuring efficient inventory control, accurate data management, and seamless distribution of parts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement, to ensure timely and accurate parts availability
  • Manage and optimize inventory levels by analyzing usage patterns, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items, and implementing appropriate strategies
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for parts room activities to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), handle physical inventory counts are owned by this supervisor
  • Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure inventory accuracy, turnover, and other relevant metrics
  • Collaborate with the Inventory/MRO Manager to develop and implement inventory management strategies and initiatives
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to parts room staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Actively participate in projects aimed at optimizing inventory processes, systems, and tools
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership, highlighting inventory performance, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate parts deliveries and maintain strong working relationships
  • Handle parts warranty and defect returns, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution
  • Support the implementation of new parts into inventory, working closely with procurement and project teams
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all parts room activities
  • Seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the inventory management function
  • Provide coverage and support during planned vacations of team members as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, parts room operations, or related roles
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and inventory tracking systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, can balance multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus

Compensation Range:$77,000.00-$115,000.00, plus bonus.
