Shift and Pay:
1st shift: 7:00am-3:30pm (M-F). Pay range starting at $28.00 per hour.

Scope of job:

Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled electrical/electronic support to all areas of the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work to all national, state and local codes
  • Work safely at all times and be certain that others working with you are working safely
  • Install/repair all electrical services, drops, outlets, equipment, lighting, etc. as needed
  • Diagnose, repair, or install single & three phase motors and motor controls
  • Assist in the layout and design of new installations
  • Follow all company policies and regulations
  • Always leave work areas in a neat and clean manner
  • Complete all work orders in a timely manner and include all pertinent notes
  • Typical range of work would be installing telephone lines, network lines, low voltage for security, fiber optic cables, terminating the telephone, network cables and fiber optic cables, 120 volt outlet lines, 230 V, 208 3 PH, 277 3 PH, 480 3PH, main feed lines as well distribution panels. A full knowledge of all these applications is necessary
  • Troubleshooting all facilities equipment is required. Knowledge of control circuits, variable speed drives, variable frequency drives, emergency systems, and PLC's is necessary
  • Must be able to read schematics and blueprints and comprehend them fully
  • Assist all other maintenance and tradespersons as needed
  • Work with outside contractors as needed
  • Update existing blueprints/schematics as changes are made
  • May be required to work off shift or overtime as emergencies require

Education and Experience:



  • High School/GED, Degree required
  • State journeyman electrical license required
  • 3 - 5 years' of proven experience in the electrical/electronic field are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas


Competencies and Skills:



  • Familiarity with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Competency with installing new electrical panels and distribution systems
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
  • Basic computer skills preferred


Physical Demands:



  • Works in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Continuous: standing, walking, lifting, bending, pushing/pulling, and reaching.
  • Occasional: kneeling, sitting, squatting, overhead work, fine and gross upper body motor movement

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.

The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:



  • Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor


The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
