We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Finance team with a focus on financial systems and data analytics. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop expertise in enterprise financial systems and business intelligence tools. You'll play a key role in supporting the finance team by maintaining and enhancing our financial data environment, helping to manage and improve tools like Planful and Power BI, and delivering actionable insights through dashboards and reports. While prior experience with Planful, Power BI, or Hyperion Smartview is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of Planful (FP&A platform)
  • Build and maintain models, dashboards, and reports in Power BI
  • Support data integration and transformation processes to ensure finance has access to accurate and timely information
  • Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions
  • Contribute to month-end and quarter-end reporting activities
  • Help with ad hoc analysis and data-driven decision support
  • Support Hyperion Smartview data pulls and Excel reporting
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation

Required Qualifications:



  • Experience in FP&A, Accounting, or Economics
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, charts
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management abilities
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting processes
  • Ability to work PST standard hours


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Basic VBA or Power Query
  • Exposure to or basic knowledge of Planful, Power BI, or Hyperion Smartview
  • Experience building dashboards or data models in Power BI
  • Basic understanding of data modeling and SQL
  • Las Vegas based
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn new financial systems and technologies



The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
