This Position reports to:

Global Division Health Safety Environmen

The role of Health & Safety Program Manager will be to further educate, coordinate and facilitate HSE management systems, and lead / improve risk reduction methodologies to ensure internal and regulatory compliance. This position will work collaboratively with our global HSE professionals to improve HSE performance and accountability while promoting a positive, learning culture across the organization. This role will report to, and directly support the Motion NEMA Motors Global HSE Manager.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support, oversee, and continuously improve the maturation and sustainment of the ABB HSE Management system.
  • Develop and implement HSE trainings / programs to reduce risks and increase competencies for the MONM Division.
  • Support the MONM Global HSE Manager with various functional task appropriate, including preparing and/or delivering written reports and presentations for senior leaders and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with MONM functional managers and business leaders to discuss and provide counsel on current issues that can be supported or resolved through existing, new, innovative and/or improved learning & development practices, processes, and policies.
  • Ensure HSE programs/documentation required to support programs and management systems are comprehensive and current.
  • Implement and continuously optimize HSE improvement programs, processes and procedures within area of functional responsibility in alignment with ABB guidance, policy, and procedures.
  • Lead and support the timely and accurate submissions into digital systems and tools utilized to manage the MONM HSE programs (i.e. Intelex, Sharepoint, etc...).
  • Assist in the development, completion, and execution of MONM HSE training (including ABB Way) matrix to include policies, tools, training delivery, training content, and qualifications of trainers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree with a minimum of ten years of progressive HSE experience with a focus on manufacturing.
  • Formal certification(s) and training in Health, Safety, and Environmental fields.
  • Relevant HSE experience, over 5 years, in HSE management systems and campaigns.
  • Advanced use of 3rd party data base management systems, MS Office, etc.
