Senior Cost Analyst

JOB PURPOSE or JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include developing analytical tools to help support the company's objectives. Areas of focus include, Cost of Goods sold, variance analysis, and working primarily with the operations team to analyze business performance and support them in making fact based decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintain standard cost system, including material costs, bills of material and routings, used for inventory valuation and providing a basis for manufacturing variance measurements
  • Develop standard policy and procedures for all costing functions that can be used on an Enterprise level and used as a guide during acquisitions.
  • Work with operations to report production and record inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in month-end / quarter-end/ year-end close.
  • Develop and generate useful tools for the operations area for variance analysis and COGS expenses.
  • Create standard work around PPV variance and review as needed with sourcing department.
  • Assist with DCR creations and changes
  • Assist in annual budget for labor/production reporting, PPV analysis, overhead analysis, etc.
  • Organize and perform standard cost roll activity.
  • Prepare cost quotes or cost analysis for sales/marketing on existing or new business opportunities.
  • Assist with capital requests as needed.
  • Participate in the Lean continuous culture and activities as needed.
  • Continually work to gain an understanding and knowledge of the business and systems in an effort to actively participatein TIDI Product's commitment to continuous improvement in all areas of operation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge / Skills / Ability

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing work environment
  • Related experience in cost accounting and/or finance
  • Power BI experience preferred
