As a Private Banking Group Manager, you won't just lead a team-you'll guide a strategy. This is your opportunity to drive growth, inspire high-performing Private Bankers, and help high-net-worth clients unlock the full potential of their financial lives. You'll work at the intersection of relationship management, strategic planning, and cross-line collaboration-building strong bridges across business units while delivering financial solutions.
This position requires a credit check per 12 CFR Chapter X, Part 1026, Truth in Lending, Regulation Z.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a High-Impact Team: Coach and develop Private Bankers to deepen client relationships, drive business growth, and deliver premier client experiences.
  • Drive Growth Across the Bank: Collaborate with partners in Consumer Banking, Commercial Lending, Mortgage, and Wealth Advisory to offer integrated solutions that meet client needs.
  • Be a Strategic Partner: Serve as a senior voice in the Wealth Management leadership team, contributing to business planning, product development, and innovation.
  • Own the Client Journey: You will own a book of business as well as be the strategic connector, ensuring clients are matched with the right expertise at the right time.
  • Strengthen Risk & Credit Oversight: Provide daily leadership on risk management, compliance, and credit administration across the team's portfolio.
  • Expand Market Presence: Cultivate new relationships through Centers of Influence and community engagement, reinforcing the bank's reputation in the high-net-worth market.

What You'll Bring

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field-or equivalent experience
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years in private banking, commercial lending, or wealth management, with a proven ability to grow assets in a relationship-driven environment
    • Deep knowledge of high-net-worth client needs, financial planning, and investment strategies
    • 2+ years of commercial lending experience
    • Formal credit training and risk management background (preferred)
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) - Required
    • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) - Preferred
    • Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) - Preferred
    • Must meet S.A.F.E. Act registration and compliance requirements

Operates in full compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and S.A.F.E. Act requirements. Must submit required information to meet registry requirements, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain the registration requirements as directed by the S.A.F.E Act.
