The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare annual tax provisions and assist in the preparation of federal and state income taxes and quarterly estimates. The analyst will correspond with regulatory bodies and assist in regulatory audits. This position will also research and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and tax standards and help prepare financial statement tax notes.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in tax and accounting, effectively manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and contribute to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. They will be proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies, collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and bring a detail-oriented approach to complex financial data analysis.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5 years of relevant experience beyond degree


Strongly Preferred Qualifications:



  • Industry tax experience, especially in insurance, healthcare, or medical sectors
  • Experience interpreting corporate tax codes and preparing corporate tax returns and provisions
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUM, IF statements)


Skills and Abilities:



  • Proficient in accounting and finance principles and processes
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and evaluate financial and non-financial datasets
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot errors using historical data and reports
  • Strong data management skills with the ability to balance accounting responsibilities
  • Prior experience with audit, insurance, or healthcare data is preferred
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines


The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare annual tax provisions and assist in the preparation of federal and state income taxes and quarterly estimates. The analyst will correspond with regulatory bodies and assist in regulatory audits. This position will also research and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and tax standards and help prepare financial statement tax notes.

This position is a hub-based role which will work primarily remotely but may require some onsite presence. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must reside within a commuting distance to one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI. Onsite frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

The full salary range for this position is $68,800 - $118,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
