Job Description

The EHS Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and on-going assessment of the site's safety, health, environmental, and property preservation system. The position is responsible for ensuring that the site's EHS system meets the objectives of Precision Castparts Corporate and Divisional policies, procedures, and guidelines. This individual works with the site management team to create a culture which emphasizes employee engagement such that all team members embody safety as a core value of the operation. The successful candidate in this role must have a heavy background in Safety and Environmental, and continued compliance with all environmental law and code is paramount.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Compliance to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
* Aides in coordination of EHS activities
* Develops Safety awareness initiatives that reinforce and encourage employee involvement.
* Compiles, calculates, and submits site safety statistics.
* Acts as liaison between site and all EHS Divisional and Corporate support.
* Acts as liaison between the site and all Federal, State, and Local enforcement agencies.
* Develops action plans to improve safety compliance and improve overall facilities
* Performs inspections, investigations and analyses to minimize the potential for accidental losses or environmental releases.
* Directs and leads initiatives of 6S goals and activities.
* Establishing and maintaining Environmental compliance and safety as a core value of the organization.
* Maintaining constant employee engagement and regular auditing as a cornerstone of EHS compliance

* Increasing employee involvement in the site's EHS process.
* Maintaining compliance with Federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
* Maintaining site management involvement in safety and environmental program planning, training, organization and implementation.
* Submit Required Reports (AWS, TRI, Tier, II, ect.) through Governments method for Monitoring compliance
* Conduct Routine Inspections to demonstrate system are in place and protect the environment
* Consistently participate and follow the Plant's Manufacturing Operating System, attend and contribute to daily and weekly meetings on a regular basis. Lead, contribute to and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Effectively utilize enterprise planning tools to manage the department and EHS activities
* Initiate and control cost effective methods of operation for our EHS department

Required Experience/Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, Project Management, EHS or related field.
* Minimum five (5) years of experience in an Environmental, Health & Safety compliance role with extensive knowledge of EPA standards and OSHA regulations
* Experience with Microsoft Office
* Experience with EHS in a Manufacturing Environment
* Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
* Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
* Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
