The City of Bothell’s Public Works Department is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills to join our team as the next Public Works Maintenance Specialist in the Storm Division! What will you do in this position? - Problem-solve and troubleshoot complicated projects related to the stormwater conveyance system.
- Perform maintenance and repair to Department of Ecology NPDES and City of Bothell Maintenance Standards by maintaining efficient drainage operations through clearing debris from stormwater structures using both manual tools and mechanical equipment.
- This includes catch basins (Type 1 & 2), manholes, control structures, vaults, dredged ditches, ponds, creeks, streambeds, detention and retention systems, oil/water separators, bioswales, sediment traps, diversion structures, and advanced storm filters to ensure proper function and structural integrity.
- Plan and coordinate pipe patch and point repairs from start to finish, including performing installation of new stormwater infrastructure, pipes, control structures, curbing, pavement, sidewalks, and adjacent landscaping including ponds and bioswales.
- Conduct storm mainline inspections using specialty CCTV pipe equipment such as pipelines, storm lines, culverts, underdrains, and outfalls.
A successful candidate in this position will: - Have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with Tanker endorsement, valid Washington State Driver’s license, and Traffic Control Flagger card.
