YOUR IMPACT

Cisco is seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to drive sales and develop strategic relationships within the Department of Labor (DOL). The Account Manager will be responsible for understanding the DOL's mission, priorities, and technology needs, and for positioning Cisco solutions to help the DOL achieve its goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Account Management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan for the DOL aligned with Cisco's overall US Public Sector Strategy.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with main collaborators within the DOL, including senior leadership, IT decision-makers, procurement, and program managers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the DOL, ensuring excellent customer service and responsiveness.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the DOL's organizational structure, critical initiatives, and technology priorities.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the DOL.
  • Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract closure, working closely with internal sales engineers, solution architects, and other resources.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that showcase Cisco's value proposition.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and revenue targets.
  • Maintain an accurate sales forecast and pipeline.

Market Intelligence

  • Stay informed about the DOL's budget, procurement processes, and technology roadmap.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities within the DOL.
  • Provide feedback to Cisco's product and marketing teams on the DOL's specific needs and requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of federal procurement regulations and compliance requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in sales or account management, with a focus on the US Federal Government.
  • Consistent track record of success in selling technology solutions to the Department of Labor or similar federal agencies.
  • Solid understanding of the DOL's programs, and technology environment.
  • Experience in navigating the federal procurement process.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Existing relationships with key stakeholders within the Department of Labor.
  • Experience selling to the Federal Government.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales tools.
