Job Summary

We're seeking an energetic, hands-on Executive Chef to lead all kitchen operations at SCAD. In this role, you'll oversee meal preparation, ensure food safety and sanitation, and drive culinary excellence in alignment with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages daily and modified menus following company guidelines

  • Ensures proper portioning, presentation, and taste through recipe adherence and quality checks

  • Trains and supervises kitchen staff on food prep, equipment use, and sanitation procedures

  • Maintains and enforces cleaning schedules and safety protocols

  • Manages food and supply inventory to meet demand and control costs

  • Oversees proper handling of leftover food in compliance with company policies

  • Ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations and audit standards

  • Participates in team meetings and ongoing professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in high-volume educational food service operations, including managing large teams and providing job references to support performance.

  • 3-5 years of progressive kitchen leadership experience

  • Strong background in high-volume and batch cooking environments

  • Catering experience is a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and kitchen management software

  • ServSafe certification preferred

  • Deep knowledge of culinary trends, food safety, cost control, and presentation
