Clinical Pharmacist I - PRN - Central Pharmacy

General Summary of Position

We are recruiting for a Clinical Pharmacist I to join our central pharmacy team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center on a per diem basis. Shifts are days/evenings/nights and rotating weekends. Primary shifts needing coverage will be 7am- 3:30pm; 10:30am - 7pm; 3pm - 11:30pm.

Provides pharmaceutical care to assigned patients under the supervision of a more senior clinical pharmacist/manager. Evaluates and interprets physician orders and dispenses medication and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with established operational procedures, professional standards or practice as well as state and district and Federal laws.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Doctoral degree or equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy required

Experience

• 1-2 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required
• Completion of PGY-1 pharmacy residency preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist in the District of Columbia required
• Board certification preferred

This position has a hiring range of $100,588 - $190,340
