The Opportunity

The Business Capability Lead role for Plan will be part of the PT Business Capability Center of Excellence (CoE). This is a community of Business Capability Specialists, Leads & Owners who are responsible and accountable for the systems, data and communities that support the PT Plan to Deliver (P2DP) and Commercial Sales & Distribution (MP2C) business processes. These are the supply chain and manufacturing processes we utilize in PT. They focus on driving innovation, continuous improvement, and transformation of business processes and strategies with their site and global business partners. They also play a key role in shaping the future business processes being developed for ASPIRE (SAP S/4 & OMP implementation project).

This role will partner with peers in the Business Capability team, the extended community including SMEs in all relevant functions, internal and external customers, and suppliers to contribute to the implementation of End-to-End solutions that optimize performance across functions and processes. This includes supporting efforts that arise from OMP roll outs, ASPIRE deployments, implementation of PT initiatives, or continuous improvement efforts. In this role you are responsible for supporting process execution to keep it harmonized and aligned across the different organizations. You will also support data steward efforts as needed, use Lean methods in daily activities, and display PT Behaviors. You may also play a product owner or product manager role on an agile team.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to process vision & strategy in alignment with business goals and the respective Business Capability Owner and act as the BCO delegate as needed.

  • Own & Lead process performance of a cross-stream set of L3 & L4 processes, their KPIs/PHIs and the Continuous Improvement for these processes. Act as a deep subject matter expert and as a data steward as needed for your core processes.

  • Proactively partner with fellow BCLs, BCOs, BCSs, and internal and external customers to implement End-to-End solutions & continuous improvement initiatives that optimize performance across functions. Look ahead to predict future stakeholder and business needs. Manages expectations effectively.

  • Track and troubleshoot process and system performance issues, working closely with the Business Capability Owner, the functional Business Capability community network, agile team members, local business process owners and Ix representative to identify root cause and remediation. Acting as the first line of escalation and triage for process issues. Ensure remediation requests for system issues are submitted through the appropriate channels and escalated to the proper communities.

  • Develop & update global training materials, global SOPs and work instructions. In addition, create, update and maintain process flows, process descriptions, and/or requirements documents for owned processes as needed. Providing training for end users.

  • Act as or support a Product Manager or Product Owner role on an agile team to support PT Business Capability CoE business processes as needed.

Who You Are

  • Science or Engineering BS/BA is a must; advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred in a technical, business, supply chain or pharmaceutical field

  • 10+ years of pharma industry (Supply Chain, Procurement, or Operations) experience in cross-cultural environments with extensive experience in successfully implementing large scale change.

  • Experience working with OMP as either an end user or super user, etc., experience working in an agile team role, and deep technical expertise in planning and long range planning related processes

  • Proven ability to negotiate and influence effectively at multiple levels within a global organization, both face-to-face and virtually

  • Deep knowledge and experience in change management, process optimization, problem-solving, and solution development, with the ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize multiple demands in a dynamic environment

Preferences:

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

  • APICS and/or SCOR certification

  • Experience in Business Process Excellence, applying LEAN, and Agile methodology

  • Experience working in SAP replacement projects and Agile teams as a Product Owner or Product Manager

Relocation benefits are not available for this role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $150,700 - $279,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
