This position reports to

Internal Logistics Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing internal material flow, ensuring efficient inventory handling, and coordinating logistics operations to support seamless production. This role involves improving Kanban activities, overseeing material handlers across all production lines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in Senatobia, MS.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Kanban System Optimization: Monitor, refine, and improve Kanban processes to ensure smooth material flow; Implement best practices to reduce inventory waste and enhance replenishment accuracy; Conduct periodic reviews and audits of Kanban systems to drive continuous improvement.
*Material Handling & Logistics Coordination: Oversee and coordinate material handlers across all production lines; Ensure timely material movement and availability to support production schedules; Implement strategies to reduce material handling inefficiencies and improve workflow.
*Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Address material shortages, discrepancies, and production line requirements proactively; Utilize SAP ERP for inventory tracking and reporting.
*Process Improvement & Efficiency Initiatives: Identify bottlenecks in internal logistics and develop solutions for process optimization; Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to implement lean manufacturing principles; Drive automation and technology adoption in internal logistics operations.
*Compliance & Safety: Demonstrates ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly; Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area; Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies; Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities; Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting & risks.
*Collaboration/Leadership: Ensures adherence to the collaboration objectives of the team to maximize results for ABB; Leads their own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team; Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Kanban systems and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP and material flow processes.
  • Leadership experience in coordinating logistics teams and material handlers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
