Job Overview:

Under general supervision, is responsible for surveys and investigations in health care facilities for compliance with Federal regulations and State rules; and performs related work as required.

Key Responsibilities:

This role involves gathering and analyzing data from healthcare providers and facilities to assess compliance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, conducting surveys, observations, and interviews, and interpreting legal standards to identify non-compliance. The position also requires documenting findings according to strict protocols, coordinating team activities during inspections, and communicating results to various stakeholders, while maintaining confidentiality. Emphasis is placed on decision-making, problem-solving, and planning to ensure effective and efficient regulatory oversight.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in nursing and experience equivalent to three (3) years of full-time increasingly responsible professional nursing work. A valid registered nurse license in good- standing is required, OR Completion of an approved Practical Nursing program and passing score on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) and (5) five years of full-time experience in hospitals, long term care facilities, ESRD, skilled nursing facility experience, OR Bachelors degree in Social Work and clinical experience in a hospital and/or long-term care facility, with experience in discharge planning, admissions, interdisciplinary care coordination, etc., OR Bachelors degree in Dietetics or Nutrition or related field and clinical experience in a hospital and/or long-term care facility, with experience in discharge planning, admissions, interdisciplinary care coordination, etc.
