Job Description
Coordinates, plans and organizes the day to day operations as well as coordinates patient and
physician needs.
Job Responsibility
1.Serves as a liaison with physicians, allied health personnel and vendors to identify
and prioritize instrument and equipment needs for patient procedures.
2.Reviews future operating room schedule to prepare required equipment and
resolve supply and equipment conflicts.
3.Ensures efficient and cost-effective use of department resources by coordinating
use of appropriate supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures.
4.Participates in continuous quality improvement to benefit patient and physician
needs.
5.Collaborates and communicates with perioperative leadership and support staff for
identification of operational and capital inventory needs and participates in
prioritization of equipment requests for budgeting purposes.
6.Promotes/supports growth of others through precepting, mentoring, and orientation
when appropriate and communicates with vendors to stay up to date on product
knowledge.
7.Ensures repair and maintenance of robotic equipment in accordance with
manufacturer and hospital specifications.
8.Performs preventive maintenance including operator/patient safety tests on a
regular scheduled basis to ensure proper operation and a safe patient environment
as well as establishes and maintains program related policies and procedures.
9.Serves as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient
care.

Job Qualification
* Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
*Current Surgical Technologist Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
*3-5 years of relevant experience required, in a health care setting.
