Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a dynmaic individual toJoin a dynamic, globally connected team that supports Marine system sales and Electrification projects across North America (NAM). As a Technical Opportunity Manager, you will walk alongside OEMs and system integrators from project inception through delivery-providing expert guidance and technical leadership on complex applications. This strategic role is vital in advancing our customers' success in heavy industries, marine, and electrification, ensuring technical excellence and opportunity wins across the region.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following.




  • Lead the technical opportunity management process for heavy industry, marine, and electrification projects.



  • Collaborate across all NAM sales verticals to support pre-sales technical activities.



  • Partner with Global Engineering Solutions to manage high-value project opportunities until closure.



  • Support Configure-To-Order (CTO) and Engineer-To-Order (ETO) solutions.



  • Drive business development initiatives in collaboration with sales, product marketing, and engineering teams.



  • Organize and lead customer and internal training sessions, both virtual and in-person.



  • Support strategic project evaluations, product selection, quoting, and delivery coordination.



  • Interface with regional and global teams to share lessons learned and influence product roadmaps.



  • Utilize Salesforce CRM for opportunity tracking, case management, and reporting.

Education:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field (BSEE, BSME, BSEET or equivalent).

Experience:




  • 5+ years working with power conversion, electrification, and variable speed drive solutions.



  • Deep familiarity with heavy industries, O&G, marine systems, and integration projects.



  • Proven experience in sizing and selecting power components for complex applications.



  • Knowledge of UL508A cabinet standards and NEC is a plus.



  • Willingness to travel (up to 30% across NAM).
