Responsibilities:

The Del Monte Plant in Modesto, California is searching for a qualified Boiler Room Operator. To perform the Boiler Room Operator job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position.

• Roll in boiler tubes (maintenance only, not new construction).
• Make water analyses.
• Make stack gas analyses.
• Requisition boiler room parts and supplies.
• Operate and maintain water softening and water treatment equipment.
• Responsible for work layout, general direction and assignment of boiler room.
• May repair or replace steam and water valves throughout the Plant.
• May be on night call.
• May be required to have a license to operate boilers.
• May repair cannery equipment as needed.
• The rate of pay for this position is $37.50 per hour.

Qualifications:

• Valid license to operate boilers
• Prefer at least 1 years of experience with repair or replacement of steam and water valves in a manufacturing plant
• Experience repairing cannery equipment is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
