Position Description


Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
A strong background in pharmaceutical sciences in pharmaceutical analysis for drug development and manufacturing is required. The person appointed will teach pharmaceutical sciences courses in curricula of BS in Pharmaceuticals Sciences, MS and PhD in Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences, and Pharm.D.. Additional service on departmental, school, and university committees will be expected. A PhD. in the field is required with 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Experience in industrial research formulation development is highly desired. Applicants must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Some experience with FDA guidelines and compliance is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD in pharmaceutical sciences /pharmaceutical analysis/pharmaceutics or related field.
  • Strong background in analytical methods development for analysis and characterization of drugs, drug candidates, and drug product.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in research and/or scholarship, and academia.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally diverse study body.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Hiring Range $115,000 - $135,000 per year (We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.)
