NOTE: This position is based at our new yard located in Maltby (Snohomish County). Initial training will take place at our South Seattle yard.

Role

Under general supervision, maintains fleet records, posts daily entry of fleet information, parts and consumables into the computerized fleet management system, and prepares purchase orders for management approval (including the assignment of business unit codes).

Essential Responsibilities
  • Reviews purchase orders to ensure accuracy and proper payment of invoices.
  • Act as point of contact with vendors to order and receive goods. Receives goods delivered from vendors, scans invoices and packing slips (may be required to pick-up parts, as needed).
  • Supports the Maintenance Manager with analysis of fleet operations reports, including analyzing data, identifying trends and outliers and correcting mistakes, where appropriate.
  • Resolves data errors and escalates other errors to management for comparison against identified critical objectives and tasks.
  • Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, purchases certain parts, materials, and supplies needed to support the daily shop operations.
  • Conducts inventory and cycle counts, and stocks parts shelves as necessary.
  • Travel may be required for meetings and/or site visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of customer service and clerical experience.
  • Previous experience with fleet management systems and knowledge of parts preferred.
